Fault Code: TF
Temperature Fault Diagnosis
Investigating internal high-temperature events and thermal protection shutdowns.
Introduction
A Temperature Fault (TF) occurs when the SunHopper®-D internal sensors detect heat levels beyond safe operating parameters for the electronics.
This is a protective measure to prevent equipment damage and ensure long-term reliability. The system will typically auto-recover once internal temperatures return to normal levels.
Troubleshooting Steps
Installation Site
1
Ensure the unit is not in direct afternoon sunlight.
2
Check for proper clearance around the enclosure.
3
Verify cooling fins are not obstructed.
Operating Load
1
Check if faults occur only during peak PV output.
2
Verify consistent air flow in the installation room.
3
Ensure no other heat-producing equipment is immediately adjacent or below the unit.
